As a product development lead at loanDepot’s mello Innovation lab, Eileen Kim is tasked with bringing to life CEO Anthony Hsieh’s vision of the future of modern lending. Most recently, Eileen, together with the mello lab team, ideated and executed the roll out of loanDepot’s proprietary Consumer Lending platform.
Today, Eileen and her team are actively crafting a proprietary consumer lending platform that enables consumers to connect with local home improvement professionals and fund their improvements in one seamless online environment.
Eileen’s leadership style is rooted in education and mentorship. She draws from her own education that includes undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard and UC Berkeley, to foster a supportive arena for team members to both challenge themselves and be challenged.
Eileen is an exceptional role model not only for her team, but for all loanDepot associates, as well as all women who aspire to careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). She frequently speaks at WomenHack events held at the mello lab, inspiring women with her words of encouragement on how to rise up in STEM careers. She also is a tireless advocate for young girls to consider STEM careers.
