JPMorgan Chase announces three new mortgage executive promotions

Names new co-heads of its originations business

JPMorgan Chase shook up its mortgage lending leadership, promoting three employees to new executive positions.

For starters, the bank named new co-heads of its originations business, promoting Sean Grzebin (pictured first), formerly head of Retail Mortgage Banking, to head of Consumer Originations, which consists of home equity, retail and consumer direct business,  and Greg Beliles (pictured second) to head of Correspondent Originations.

“These changes position us well for the future and create mobility opportunities for many of our most talented leaders,” said Mike Weinbach, CEO of Mortgage Banking, on the news.

In addition, there’s a new leader at the top of the bank’s Retail Sales. JPMorgan Chase promoted Lawrence Bailey (pictured last), its former head of mortgage banking for California, to Chase’s head of Retail Sales, managing the bank’s national team of branch-based mortgage bankers.

Retail sales consist of seven regions: Midwest, Pacific Northwest, Southwest, Southeast, Great Lakes, Southern California and New York/New Jersey Metro.

Lawrence joined the bank as a senior lending manager 10 years ago and has led the California Region for more than four years.

While in the position, the region has ranked at the top in customer satisfaction and loan volume. Lawrence, on top of this, has been one of the bank’s best people managers, with some of the highest employee satisfaction scores in originations, Grzebin about Lawrence’s new appointment.

“This is a well-deserved promotion for him” Grzebin added, who Lawrence will be reporting to.
