HomeBridge hires Fannie Mae veteran

Alex Saphos joins as investor relations advisor

HomeBridge Financial Services, a privately held nonbank lender, announced Wednesday it hired Fannie Mae veteran Alex Saphos as its new investor relations advisor.

In his new role, Saphos will leverage existing industry relationships as well as create new opportunities to connect HomeBridge’s origination abilities with the needs of outside portfolio investors across the country.

Before joining HomeBridge, Saphos worked at Fannie Mae for almost 30 years. In fact, his career spans across 40 years and includes firsthand involvement in areas such as origination, underwriting, wholesale, correspondent channel operations and secondary marketing.

While with Fannie Mae, Saphos was the primary point of contact between the company and its key customers in the Northeast region for all matters involving sales and delivery.

During the course of his career with Fannie Mae, Saphos received numerous accolades for both his attention to customer service and leadership. He has also served as a member of the New Jersey MBA Board of Governors since 2011.

Now, Saphos will report to Christopher Randall, HomeBridge capital markets senior vice president.

“The new investor relations position Alex is stepping into is about much more than just creating opportunities for HomeBridge, it centers on building and strengthening relationships between HomeBridge and the greater financial community,” Randall said.

“For the last 40 years, Alex has demonstrated that he not only has an exceptional understanding of our industry and its network, but also the dedication to excellence which we strive for in every aspect of our business,” he said.
