Pro Teck: Home prices up 9.02% annually in February

Here are the top 10 CBSAs with the largest percent increase

The average home selling price increased 9.02% annually in February 2016, a new report from Pro Teck discovered after comparing over 200 core-based statistical areas.

February also had a 12.35% increase in number of sales, and a 12.48% decrease in months of remaining inventory. The signs show a sellers market as the home buying season continues to approach.

The ten CBSAs with the highest annual sales price increase (minimum of 700 monthly sales) include:

10. Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin, Tennessee: 13.64%

8. Salem, Oregon: 15%

7. Naples-Immokalee-Marco Island, Florida: 15.26%.

6. Port St. Lucie, Florida: 15.99%.

5. San Francisco-Redwood City-South San Francisco, California: 16.78%.

4. Durham-Chapel Hill, North Carolina: 16.83%.

3. Myrtle Beach-Conway-North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina-North Carolina: 18.13%

2. Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville, Florida: 21.48%.

1. Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Florida: 23.08%.
