J. Ronald Terwilliger Foundation adds NMHC President Doug Bibby

Will serve on advisory board

The J. Ronald Terwilliger Foundation for Housing America’s Families announced recently that Doug Bibby, the president of the National Multifamily Housing Council, joined the foundation’s advisory board.

Bibby has served as president of the NMHC, a national organization with more than 1,100 member firms involved in the multifamily housing industry, for nearly 15 years.

Prior to joining NMHC, he spent 16 years as a senior officer of Fannie Mae, where he served on the company’s management committee throughout his tenure.

Ron Terwilliger, the foundation’s chairman and founder, said that the addition of Bibby is vital for the foundation’s goal of solving the ongoing housing crisis.

“Over the next decade, the demand for rental homes will grow even more intense as a result of powerful demographic and household formation trends now underway in our country,” Terwilliger said.

“Meeting this demand by ensuring that Americans of all backgrounds have access to a range of housing options is both a moral and economic imperative,” Terwilliger continued. “As a leading national expert on rental housing, Doug will be an invaluable resource as the Foundation develops a comprehensive plan to respond to the ongoing crisis in housing. I am pleased and honored he has joined the Foundation team.”

Bibby’s addition marks the foundation’s second significant addition in the last week.

The Terwilliger Foundation also recently announced that Frank Keating, the former governor of Oklahoma, is joining the foundation’s executive committee.

Keating joins the Terwilliger Foundation after recently retiring as president and CEO of the American Bankers Association.
