Steven Plaisance named CEO of Arvest Mortgage and Central Mortgage

Began at Arvest as a part-time teller

Arkansas-based Arvest Bank announced that it named Steven Plaisance as the new chief executive officer of both Arvest Mortgage Co. and Central Mortgage Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Arvest Bank.

Prior to being named CEO, Plaisance was president and chief operating officer for Arvest Mortgage and Central Mortgage. He will continue in his role as president in addition to his new role as CEO, the company said.

What makes Plaisance’s story unique is that he began his career with Arvest Bank as a part-time teller in Rogers, Arkansas in 1989. He joined Arvest Mortgage in 1991 and has steadily progressed through the company, first taking a leadership position in 1996.

Plaisance is also a two-time president of the Oklahoma Mortgage Bankers Association.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead our talented mortgage team into the future,” said Plaisance, who will report to Arvest Bank COO Phil Porter.

“Arvest is dedicated to serving mortgage customers through originations and servicing, and I look forward to continuing the many good things we have done in these areas.”
