NYC Housing Partnership names Daniel Cohen VP, director of real estate development

Tasked with development of affordable housing

The New York City Housing Partnership announced the addition of Daniel Cohen to the newly created position of vice president-director of real estate development.

Cohen was founder and member of Burlingham Capital Partners, a NY-based investment firm dedicated to principal investments in affordable and market rate housing, as well as real estate development consulting.

“Dan will oversee our pipeline of existing and prospective real estate business as well as directing development of affordable housing and financing for private developers,” said Dan Martin, chairman and CEO of the NYC Housing Partnership. “He also will underwrite all affordable housing transactions, coordinate and interface with local agencies and private developers and supervise project managers.”

Previously Cohen worked as a mortgage officer at the Community Preservation Corporation, which offers construction and permanent financing to housing owners and developers. Earlier in his career, he worked for ING Clarion Partners, the NYC Economic Development Corporation and the Hudson Companies, an affordable and market rate housing developer.

“We’re delighted that Dan Cohen has joined the Housing Partnership at a time of increased focus on affordable housing,” Martin added.
