Chicago Housing Authority CEO steps down

According to Crain’s Chicago Business, Charles Woodyard is stepping down after two years as CEO of the Chicago Housing Authority.
The publication notes that:

His resignation is expected to be announced at a CHA board meeting in progress this morning, sources said.

No immediate reason for the resignation was given, but CHA has struggled to keep up with the demand for public housing after razing high-rise complexes several years ago in its “Plan for Transformation.”
