Freddie Mac releases Spanish version of CreditSmart

Freddie Mac released a Spanish version of CreditSmart based on the online version of it released in April 2013, the agency said in a press release.

CreditSmart is a free on-line tutorial where families can learn to build savings, personal credit, make wise financial choices and become successful homeowners.

Since its launch in 2001, CreditSmart has reached more than three million consumers in 44 states.

"Our online Spanish CreditSmart tutorial aims to break down barriers to homeownership by targeting language barriers to sound information about building savings, credit and the financial savvy to own a home. Today's announcement celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month by giving families new ways to prepare themselves for homeownership and long-term financial stability,” Christina Diaz Malone, Freddie Mac vice president of corporate relations and housing outreach.
