Pets still need rescuing from foreclosed homes

While families may have the option to move on after their home is foreclosed on, many pets are still being left for dead and abandoned in deserted homes.

Per the Huffington Post:

More than 50 cats that were found abandoned in a foreclosed home in Cambridge, Mass., made headlines in June. In 2012, more than 30 dogs were found in a foreclosed Kansas City home.

The American Human Association says homeowners should never leave their pets behind when vacating a foreclosed home. Besides being inhumane, it can be illegal, depending on state animal-cruelty laws.
