Residential building soars in Dallas

Contracts already outpace 2012 levels

While Dallas may be seething from soaring temperatures, it's also experiencing significant heat in the residential building sector, the Dallas Morning News reports.

The daily publication released McGraw Hill data supporting this assertion Tuesday:

Residential building is on the rise, with contracts 33 percent higher in July from a year earlier. Through the first seven months of this year, residential building contracts are running 26 percent ahead of 2012 levels, McGraw Hill said.
