Mortgage originator Pacific Union Financial named Ron Fountain executive vice president and chief legal officer.

Fountain is joining the Irving-based company from JPMorgan Chase, where he served as senior vice president and managing director.

While at Chase, he oversaw mortgage servicing compliance issues, investor reviews, audits and the purchasing and disposition of assets.

He previously served Nationstar Mortgage as senior vice president, associate general counsel and was an associate at Patton Boggs LLP and Andrews Kurth.

“He has an extensive legal background and successful track record in corporate transactions, risk management and fiscal governance. I look for Ron to be a major contributor to our continued growth as a national mortgage lender and servicer.”
