Ocwen general counsel changes role, new top attorney named

Servicer Ocwen Financial Corp. announced Wednesday that Paul Koches resigned from the position of general counsel, executive vice president and secretary and is transitioning to the role of executive vice president of corporate affairs.

As Koches shifts to the new role, Timothy Hayes is taking over the general counsel position and serving as executive vice president and secretary.

Prior to this appointment, Hayes served as chief of staff and chief executive officer for Homeward Residential, a subsidiary of Ocwen.

Before joining Ocwen, Hayes served the financial services division of AIG as general counsel and executive president.

Ocwen also announced in an SEC filing that Nikhil Malik was named an executive officer. Malik previously served as Treasurer and chief financial officer of Ocwen Mortgage Servicing.
