OCC names senior deputy comptroller for large bank supervision

Comptroller of the Currency Thomas Curry appointed Martin Pfinsgraff senior deputy comptroller for large bank supervision.

Pfinsgraff has held the role since February and currently oversees 550 examiners who supervise 19 banking organizations.

Prior to joining the OCC in 2011, Pfinsgraff was chief operating officer of iJet International.

“The supervision of large complex institutions is an extremely difficult and important function for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency,” said Curry.

He added, “Marty has a strong mix of private and public sector experience as well as the kind of deep understanding of the industry’s risk management issues to succeed in this role and to enhance the agency’s oversight of the nation’s largest national banks and federal savings associations.”
