On Saturday, President Barack Obama pushed for lawmakers to support his nominee to oversee Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Democratic Representative Mel Watt.
According to an article in Bloomberg, the president threw his backing behind Watt, who is expected to a face tough battle for approval in the Senate.
“He’s the right person for the job, and that’s why Congress should do its job, and confirm him without delay,” Obama said.
