The New York Federal Reserve may sell 11 collateralized debt obligations from its Maiden Lane III portfolio, according to Reuters.
Bids are expected by June 25 on six of the deals, with another five due on June 28.
The CDOs ended up under the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s roof after AIG experienced significant financial stress in 2008, necessitating a bailout of the insurer. The Fed ended up acquiring AIG’s toxic CDOs.
