Reverse mortgage lender Nationwide Equities announced Monday it has hired Valerie Maher, formerly of MetLife, as the company’s new operations manager.
Maher brings more than 22 years of FHA underwriting experience, much of which includes reverse mortgage lending. In her role with Nationwide Equities, she will work to support the company’s current growth as well as its future expansion plans. The company stresses its approach toward service as a strong component of its growth strategy.
“We have built our reputation on superior customer service,” says Glenn Wallace, Nationwide president. “We look to Valerie to help build the infrastructure needed to meet future growth.”
Most recently, Maher managed MetLife’s credit help desk and will have a strong service role in her new position.
“I was hired to ensure that we have the people and systems needed to meet the service demands that we anticipate from our new clients,” she said.
Nationwide Equities, based in Mahwah, New Jersey, has made several efforts toward expansion in the past year, having launched wholesale and correspondent lending channels and has hired several former MetLife reverse mortgage professionals among others to manage its operations.
