It didn’t take long for investors to show their concern with President Obama’s nominated replacement of Rep. Mel Watt. Mortgage real estate investment trusts dropped by at least 90% from the opening bell.
Annaly Capital (NLY), American Capital Agency (AGNC) and Armour Residential (ARR) each fell by 0.69%, 0.87% and 1.23% sequentially.
