Mortgage lending activity grew 8% over the previous month in the U.K. during the month of July, according to the Council of Mortgage Lenders.
Gross mortgage lending in July hit 12.7 billion pounds, or $8.1 billion dollars, up 2% from last year and an increase of 8% from June.
The Council of Mortgage Lenders includes banks that handle approximately 95% of all the U.K.’s residential lending.
