Kislak Mortgage plans new Jacksonville origination office
J.I. Kislak Mortgage, the lending branch of Miami-based firm the Kislak Organization, is expanding its business with a new mortgage origination office location. The company also announced eight to 10 job openings for mortgage consultants. The Kislak Organization is an integrated real estate investment, asset management, and brokerage services company. The new office is located in Jacksonville, Fla. and expected to originate approximately $8 million in mortgages each month. Kislak Mortgage only recently re-entered the residential real estate market in May 2010. It's focus remains on retail loan originations in the Southeast United States, while providing select "private label" wholesale lending services. "A cornerstone of Kislak Mortgage’s growth strategy is to open bricks-and-mortar store locations throughout Florida to provide local service to our customers," said Kislak CEO Tom Meyer. "Jacksonville is an important market for us." Meyer also said the new store is helping create jobs for experienced and licensed loan consultants. Kislak Mortgage most recently hired radio personality John Reagan, the host of Ole Mortgage Coach on Northeast Florida ESPN Radio. As a 17-year veteran of the industry, Reagan previously worked as senior team leader with Wilson Lending, another lending group in Florida. He will be located at the new Jacksonville office.
