JPMorgan in partership with the 100,000 Jobs Mission is hosting a job fair in Dallas to help military veterans find jobs in the private sector.
The 100,000 Jobs Mission launched in 2011 and is a coalition of 99 companies committed to hiring at least 100,000 military veterans by 2020. So far, the organization has hired about 52,000 people, a press statement said.
The job fair will try to fill 5,000 jobs in the Dallas area. Participating companies in the housing and mortgage finance space include Century 21 Real Estate and Bank of America (BAC).
“Dallas is home to thousands of transitioning military members and veterans who have the skill sets companies need. This hiring event will provide excellent career opportunities for veterans who have made tremendous sacrifices for our nation,” said Anne Motsenbocker, a regional president for JPMorgan Chase (JPM) in Dallas.
