HousingWire is hosting the 2nd Annual REperform Summit in Dallas, Texas on October 2-4, 2013. The event will return to the Fairmont Hotel.

It’s a pretty amazing conference, and there are some exciting evolutions happening to this year’s REperform.

The summit has undergone some dramatic changes for this year, including a new charity golf tournament that will raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Summit will run for one day, with the golf tournament running on the second day.

“At HousingWire, we’ve seen first hand the effect that breast cancer can have on people, communities — and businesses like our own,” said Richard Bitner, associate publisher at HousingWire. “We decided to rally our annual gathering of loan servicing professionals for a cause that affects all of us, and we couldn’t be more proud of the industry’s response so far.”

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is one of the most recognized and respected breast cancer charities in the world. Since 2003, NBCF has received the highest 4-star rating by Charity Navigator, America’s premier charity evaluator. Each year, over 80% of the charity’s revenue is directed to life-saving programs, including providing free mammograms to women in all 50 states through their network of hospitals.

“Breast cancer affects more than just the women who fight it; it can affect entire industries, too,” said breast cancer survivor Janelle Hail, who founded the NBCF in 1991. “It’s great to be a part of an event like this, where an industry can come together and support a great cause that affects all of us.”

HousingWire has pledged $15,000 to the NBCF directly; the company will also donate a percentage of every registration, sponsor and exhibitor dollar sold for REperform to the charity; in addition, a silent auction will be held during the Summit where 100% of the proceeds will benefit the NBCF.
