Goodstein partners with Mayer Brown

Barbara Goodstein joined the law firm Mayer Brown as a new partner in its banking and finance sector.

Prior to her juncture with Mayer Brown, she acted as a partner in the New York law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Goodstein has experience with structured finance, commercial financing, and debt workout and restructuring. She formerly sat on the board of directors and the executive committee of the Equipment Lease and Finance Association.

“Barbara is a nationally known finance attorney and is widely recognized in the finance industry for the depth and breadth of her experience in both commercial and structured finance,” said Stuart Litwin, partner and co-head of Mayer Brown’s banking and finance practice and structured finance group.

After graduating cum laude from Barnard College, Goodstein received her juris doctor from the New York University School of Law. Since then she has received accolades such as “New York Super Lawyer” and recognition from litigation rankings such as Chambers USA, Chambers Global and Legal 500 US.

The New York Law Journal features Goodstein’s work as a regular columnist in its “Secured Transactions” section.

“Barbara brings additional skills to our practice in financing non-traditional assets and gives us greater depth in restructuring failed transactions,” said Litwin.
