Lending company GFI Mortgage Bankers promoted Steven Bakst to chief operating officer.

Previously, Bakst served as director of operations for the company for almost six years and oversaw mortgage lending and servicing for the company.

As chief operating officer, Bakst will continue his previous responsibilities by overseeing the company’s productivity and budgetary performance.

“Steven has done a remarkable job as Director of Operations, steering the company in the right direction and always keeping on top of what is best for the company,” says CEO Abe Eisner. “It was an easy decision to give him this promotion and allow him to take on greater and further our success.”
