Former Yahoo! General Counsel Michael Callahan has joined Auction.com as executive vice president, chief legal officer and secretary. In his new role, Callahan will oversee the company’s legal, regulatory, intellectual property, government relations, compliance, ethics and corporate governance matters. 

He will be based in the Silicon Valley office. 

During his time at Yahoo!, Callahan was an integral role in building a legal, public policy, ethics and compliance and intellectual property department that expanded threefold to more than 200 professionals under his leadership. 

Prior to his time at Yahoo!, Callahan began his career as a corporate mergers and acquisitions associate with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in Boston and San Francisco.
