Former Sacramento loan officer arrested for suspected mortgage fraud

Former Sacramento, Calif. loan officer was arrested and indicted for charges of loan fraud, the Sacramento Business Journal reported.

Alexander A. Romaniolis, 48, was arrested in in Irvine, Calif. for allegedly originating under false pretenses more than $5 million in mortgage loans, which eventually led to the foreclosures on all the properties.
