The local CBS-affiliate in Minneapolis published a report this week on the Northwoods Animal Rescue Sanctuary in Andover, Minn., which is where homeless pets have routinely landed for love and care.
In an ironic twist, the facility's owner Elisa Soper is now facing a mandatory eviction from a property she rents because it's in foreclosure. While she prepares for her family's relocation, the animal caretaker is now leaning on friends and strangers to get situated and to assist with her pets.
The situation is all too familiar to Soper, who has her own unique history of helping displaced animals when families are forced to move.
