Foreclosures fell nationwide over 2012 levels during the month of February. The state of Alabama was no exception, the Birmingham Business Journal reports.

Alabama's foreclosure rate dropped in February, making it the state with the 30th lowest rate in the U.S., according to a new report.

The state's foreclosure filings fell 16.5 percent to 1,346 in February – one filing per 1,606 housing units – compared to the same month of last year, real estate researcher RealtyTrac said today.
