Dean Choksi joined Fifth Street Finance Corp. (FSC) as senior vice president of finance and head of investor relations.

He replaces Stacey Thorne, who recently got engaged and decided to “move on to the next stage in her life,” a Fifth Street spokesperson said.

Choksi has more than 11 years of experience in equity research, focusing on the consumer and specialty finance sectors including business development companies and real estate investment trusts.

Most recently, he served as U.S. equity research director at UBS.
