The National Fair Housing Alliance says Bank of America (BAC) has failed to maintain foreclosed properties in minority neighborhoods. It lodged similar complaints against Wells Fargo and U.S. Bancorp earlier this year.
NOTE: In the conference call, representatives said neglected REOs attract crime, “in the absence of a bank.”
Actual crime statistics were not provided. Bank of America did not respond to HousingWire’s request for further comment.
