Dallas-area homeowners lag behind the national average of borrowers when it comes to taking advantage of the mortgage interest tax deduction, the Dallas Morning News reports.
According to the article, almost 20% of Texas tax filers claimed the deduction in 2010, and of those that claimed the deduction, it is typically less than the national average.
