Colony American Homes files for its IPO

Colony American Homes plans to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The single-family residential real estate investment trust is externally managed by private equity firm Colony Capital.

The company plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange. No pricing terms were disclosed.

The joint bookrunners on the deal include Credit Suisse (CS), Morgan Stanley (MS), and Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC).
