Cole Credit Property Trust III concluded that American Realty Capital Properties‘ buyout offer is not in the best interest of its stockholders. 

American Reality said that it was “surprised but disappointed” by Cole Credit’s decision.

The company offered to buy Cole Credit for $5.7 billion in cash and stock on Wednesday.
