California is conducting an investigation into the payroll-tax practices of Lender Loft, a mortgage company once run by Aman Makkar of San Diego, documents show.
Notices regarding the probe have been sent to former employees of AppraiserLoft, another Makkar company, regarding the investigation into Lender Loft along with questions about the company’s owners and how it conducted business.
