A member of the Pulte homebuilding dynasty says the only way to fix the deteriorating Detroit market is to destroy large segments of the city with the intent to rebuild again.

Bloomberg News recently interviewed William Pulte, a member of the family dynasty that created homebuilder PulteGroup.

To date, Pulte has already destroyed 10 blocks of the city’s Southeast side as part of a program to fight urban blight.
