Barclays faces more scrutiny

Barclays PLC is facing a new round of scrutiny for misselling financial products, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday. The company’s finance director is also under investigation in the U.K.

The news agency reported that Barclay’s finance director Chris Lucas is being investigated by the Financial Services Authority in regards to funds raised four years ago.

The Guardian reported that the “FSA is investigating the sufficiency of disclosure in relation to fees payable under certain commercial agreements and whether these may have related to Barclays capital raisings in June and November 2008.”
