According to the the Business Insider, the Federal Trade Commission released a list of the top 10 consumer complaints the commission received in 2012. Making the list, banks and lenders fall in at number three. The report stated about 6% of the year’s complaints fell in this category, which includes deceptive lending practices, problems with modification of mortgage terms and customer service and account issues. Ranking at number one and two are identity theft and debt collection.
