The American Securitization Forum sent a comment letter to the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, suggesting a series of guiding principles that should be followed when developing capital requirements for the loan securitization process.

The trade group sent the letter to the international regulatory group as the Basel Committee considers revising its framework for bank capital tied to securities backed by loans, the ASF said.
