Arizona is slow in helping distressed borrowers

Arizona faced a foreclosure epidemic that rivaled the distressed homeowner situations in California and Nevada.

But unlike the other Sand States, Arizona is accused of being too slow in offering government aid to distressed borrowers.

The Phoenix Business Journal released a report, saying $50 million in funds sent to Arizona as part of the national mortgage settlement were nabbed by lawmakers and used to balance the state’s budget.
