Arbor looks to expand FHA lending with new director

Arbor Commercial Mortgage recently announced its promotion of Joseph Donovan to senior vice president, director of FHA lending, at its Boston office.

His new role with the real estate lending company will include oversight of its Federal Housing Administration loan production group, the FHA lending platform and the origination and underwriting teams in the region.

Donovan formerly served as senior vice president of production management for Arbor. In this position he oversaw the production of FHA, Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae (GNMA) and other commercial mortgage-backed securities. He also managed the evaluation, screening and analysis processes for loans produced by the company.

Donovan hopes to expand the company’s FHA group to meet “an increase in borrower demand for FHA financing.”

Prior to joining Arbor in 1993, he worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and Commonwealth Mortgage Co.
