Another Dallas skyscraper from the J.R. Ewing era faces foreclosure

The opening scene to the TV show ‘Dallas’ featured one of the city’s most prized possessions—namely a series of huge skyscrapers that lit up the open skies, forming a unique city skyline.

But fast-forward thirty years, and yet another ‘Big D’ skyscraper is in foreclosure, the Dallas Morning News reports.

The 32-story One Main Place tower has been around since 1968.

Lenders reportedly filed to foreclose on the property in recent weeks, making it the second downtown Dallas tower to land in foreclosure.

The Dallas Morning News first reported that Thanksgiving Tower, another Dallas landmark skyscraper faced a foreclosure filing earlier this year.

One Main Place is currently valued at $45 million, while its owners defaulted on a $69 million loan.
