Gross purchases of mortgage-backed securities fell slightly, hitting $17.7 billion this week, down from last week, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Meanwhile, the central bank sold $200 million of its agency MBS.
Additionally, the net purchases of agency MBS amounted to $17.5 billion from the same time period, up from last week.
