List recognizes top-producers for home sale sides and volume

The National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals recently announced the winners of its first Top LGBT+ Agent list, which is the real estate industry’s first recognition of top-producing LGBT and allied agents and teams nationwide.

Each of the sales professionals and teams ranked in the list also appear on the 2018 REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Professionals ratings, and rank in the top one half of 1% of more than 1.3 million Realtors across the country, according to NAGLREP.

“Real estate is known as one of most competitive industries in the world, where inspiration, drive and a deep consumer understanding are vital to succeed,” said Kevin Thompson, chief marketing officer of Sotheby’s International Realty, which sponsored the NAGLREP Top LGBT+ Agent List.
“Our success is directly connected to our ability to attract the best talent in the world, which needs to be as diverse and inclusive as the clients we serve," Thompson added. "The first Top LGBT+ Agent List gives us an opportunity to showcase real estate’s top professionals who combine outstanding service, and unmatched market knowledge with an impeccable work ethic and insatiable desire to succeed.”

The real estate professionals were recognized for their home sale sides and volumes.

“NAGLREP is a bridge between the real estate and LGBT communities and we take great pride in our advocacy work and also showcasing the emotional and financial benefits of home ownership to LGBTs,” said Jeff Berger, founder of NAGLREP. “We are thrilled to work so closely with REAL Trends and Sotheby’s International Realty to bring the NAGLREP Top LGBT+ Agent List to life and honor these incredible real estate professionals.”

Notably, several Realogy affiliates were mentioned on the list, including Blair Myers of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Success, who listed as the No. 1 agent in overall home sale transaction sides.

According to Realogy, 10 of the top 21 agents ranked by individual home sale sides, including six of the top seven, were affiliates. Furthermore, 10 of the top 20 agents ranked by home sale volume, including seven of the top 10, were also Realogy affiliates.

"According to NAGLREP, the LGBT community has a growing impact on the housing market and represents almost $1 trillion in annual buying power,” Realogy Franchise Group President and CEO John Peyton stated. “The strong representation of our brand-affiliated agents across NAGLREP's list of top LGBT producers reflects our commitment to meet the needs of our clients in this influential market segment."

Realogy brands, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Century 21 Real Estate and Sotheby's International Realty were also recognized.

Sotheby's International Realty led all real estate brands and had five agents make the exclusive list.
