Waterstone Mortgage opens new branch in Illinois

Joe Amato and Joe Spisak will lead the team

As housing affordability continues to plague the industry, some companies are either downsizing or closing their doors, but not Waterstone Mortgage. It's expanding its reach, announcing the opening of a new branch in Libertyville, Illinois.

The branch aims to efficiently streamline the loan process by making technology readily available to homeowners. Waterstone said it plans to employ its Platinum Credit Approval program to help present compelling property offers to potential homebuyers.

In order to actualize these goals, the company has enlisted Joe Amato and Joe Spisak to lead the branch.

“Libertyville is a very well-established Chicago suburb in beautiful Lake County,” Spisak said. “As a growing, thriving community, this is a perfect place to establish our presence and serve our referral partners and clients throughout the Chicago metro area.”

Amato, who has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, will be joined at the branch by loan originators Karen Frye, Nick Larson and Brian Kucharski, and loan partner Kayla Marien.

A.W. Pickel, who was appointed company president in June, said Waterstone Mortgage believes the team will exceed expectations for homebuyers in their market.

“The Libertyville team is highly motivated and is focused on serving their customers to the best of their ability – which is why we knew they were a perfect fit for Waterstone Mortgage,” Pickel said.
