Cory Treffiletti, CMO of Voicera, to speak at engage.marketing

Marketing expert will talk about the Next Big Thing: voice, virtual reality and augmented reality

I love shiny new technology — we all do! New bells, new whistles, new problems solved! But beyond the cool factor, evaluating which new technology your company needs to embrace for marketing can feel like reading tea leaves.

How is voice really going to impact your customers? Should you jump on the augmented reality bandwagon, or take a wait-and-see approach?

That’s why I’m so excited about the panel on The Next Big Thing at our engage.marketing event. We’ve invited Cory Treffiletti, the chief marketing officer of Voicera, to read those tea leaves for us and give us the inside scoop on virtual reality, augmented reality and voice, among other cool new technologies.

Cory not only leads marketing efforts at Voicera, but is also a member of the board of directors of the Data and Marketing Association (DMA), a division of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA). He has also served on the board of directors for The Ad Council and was a board member for the Advertising Research Foundation.Cory Treffiletti

You don’t get to be on those boards unless you have some serious ad bona fides, and Cory has plenty.

His experience includes serving as the vice president of marketing and partner solutions for Oracle Data Cloud, and vice president of strategy for Oracle Marketing Cloud. He also served as the senior vice president of marketing at BlueKai, later bought by Oracle, where he drove marketing strategy and execution for the industry-leading Data Management Platform (DMP) and Audience Marketplace. Cory rebranded product architecture, increased awareness, and launched the company’s inside sales team, increasing revenue from $35 million to $75 million in two years.

But that’s not all.

Cory was also the co-founder, advisor and CMO at both Virtual Fan Network, a digital sports marketing platform, and Republic Project, a self-service ad development and management platform created for agencies and publishers that was acquired by DG Mediamind in 2013.

He also co-founded Catalyst S+F, the first digital marketing consultancy focused on the intersection of start-ups and brands, acting as short-term CMO for venture-backed companies such as Freewheel, Kenshoo, Socialvibe, Vuezone, Track Simple, Turn, Mediamath, Red Aril and many others. Cory also worked with established brands such as Del Monte Foods, Fiat, Ross and LucasFilm on all areas of digital strategy. At Catalyst S+F, he drove more than $10 million in revenue and serviced many of the customers directly.

And there is so much more!

Cory’s resume is full of digital marketing innovation at both startups and established companies, working with brands like Kodak, P&G, Hyundai, Western Union, Progressive, the Discovery Channel and more. He was an early trailblazer in interactive marketing and coined the term “Brand Response” Marketing in 1995.

I could go on and on, but you get the picture — Cory’s the perfect guy to comment on The Next Big Thing and what marketers should pay attention to. His session is scheduled for Sept. 13 at 11 am and you will not want to miss it!

Cory is just one of the incredible speakers we have on tap for engage.marketing. Our headliner is Ryan Serhant of Bravo‘s Million Dollar Listing and Chris Heller, CEO of mello Home, is giving our opening keynote address.
