2018 Women of Influence: Daisy Lopez-Cid

President of National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals

Daisy Lopez Cid

During Daisy Lopez-Cid’s tenure as NAHREP president, she has facilitated the launch of new chapters in strategic markets, including Puerto Rico, Boston and Philadelphia. Her efforts have contributed to the organization’s unprecedented growth, as more than 10,000 professionals have joined NAHREP over the past year, a 50% increase over last year.

In January, Lopez-Cid was named Humanitarian of the Year by the Oceola County Association of Realtors for her efforts in the wake of Hurricane Maria. After the hurricane devastated Puerto Rico, she spent two weeks there distributing food, water, medication, clothing and other essentials. Residents welcomed her into their homes as she went door to door delivering much-needed assistance.

Lopez-Cid’s accomplishments have been so inspiring that they’ve been recognized in Washington, D.C. In March, and in honor of Women’s History Month, U.S. House Rep. Darren Soto named Lopez-Cid one of Central Florida’s most important female community leaders.

Said Gary Acosta, NAHREP co-founder and CEO: “Daisy’s leadership has inspired thousands across the housing industry. At NAHREP she is known as the ‘people’s president’ because she represents what our members strive to be like.”
