Erin Lantz, the vice president and general manager of mortgages for the Zillow Group, will be joining the board of directors of Washington Federal, the bank announced Wednesday.
As Zillow’s VP of mortgages, Lantz “leads Zillow’s efforts to empower consumers with information and tools to make smart decisions about financing homes,” according to Lantz’s bio on Zillow’s website.
Additionally, “Erin speaks with experience and knowledge about home loans, refinancing, mortgage rate trends, mortgage-related policy, and the different financing options for borrowers,” her bio continues.
According to a release from the bank, Lantz (pictured right) joined Zillow from Bank of America, where she served as senior vice president, leading the bank’s direct-to-consumer purchase home loan business. Before entering the mortgage industry, Lantz worked at the Boston Consulting Group.
Washington Federal has 239 branches in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico, and offers various financial products, including mortgages.
In a statement, the bank’s chairman and chief executive officer, Roy Whitehead, said the bank is excited to welcome Lantz to its board of directors.
“Washington Federal is delighted and honored to have Erin join our board,” Whitehead said. “She brings extensive knowledge in home finance, consumer behavior and financial technology. Erin will add a valuable perspective to our already strong board of directors.”
Zillow’s CEO, Spencer Rascoff, congratulated Lantz on Twitter, as did Amy Bohutinsky, Zillow’s chief operating officer.
