Here's what the changes mean for the company

Starkey Mortgage, a multi-state loan origination company that services Realtors and builders, announced two changes to its executive team.

J. Douglas Casbon (pictured first) is now executive vice president, national production manager, and John Steele (pictured second) is now senior vice president, southeast regional manager.

Previously, Casbon served as the senior vice president, southeast regional manager for the company. Under his direction, the company’s region of Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Florida grew 440% in total funded volume in the past five years.

“Casbon is an excellent leader with a strong background in production, who has a history of developing strong future leaders,” said Jim Clapp, Starkey Mortgage president and chief financial officer. “Doug will continue to grow Starkey’s national presence and increase volume while expanding our business into new territories.”

Meanwhile, in his new position, Steele is responsible for recruiting qualified branch managers and mortgage bankers to expand the company’s footprint in the Southeast. In addition, he is responsible for growth in business development.
