A man posing as a client attacked and tried to rape a Realtor showing a home, but her quick thinking and training allowed her to escape.

The Realtor, who is 69-years-old, was attacked at a home just outside Brandenton, Florida.

"It's just a scary, scary world, and you have to be aware of your surroundings no matter what," neighbor Deanna Gallock told local media.

The Realtor was showing the home, when the attacker, who said his name was Jim, called her into the bathroom under the ruse that he wanted to show her that the toilet was leaking.

That’s when he attacked her, police say.

Soon as she thought something was wrong, she fled, and got out before he could sexually assault her.

"Scary, and thank goodness she had her wits about her," Stafford Starcher, president of Realtors Association of Sarasota and Manatee, told local media in Florida.

As she was fleeing she yelled at “Jim” that the property's owners were nearby and returning soon. The thought of the unwanted company scared him off.

Police say the assailant is middle-aged, light-skinned man, about 6 feet tall, weighing  250 pounds, and bald or with balding hair, and a chain smoker. He drives a newer blue or black full-sized, extended-cab truck.

As of press time, "Jim" is still on the loose.
