announced the hiring of Anthony Self to serve as vice president of industry relations.

In this role, Self, a real estate industry veteran, will focus on strengthening’s relationships within the real estate community and developing programs that foster long-term partnerships with agents and brokers, the company said in a release.

Self, who is a broker associate with Hunter Mason Realty and serves on the board of directors for Palos Verdes Peninsula Association of Realtors, will lead’s efforts to recruit more real estate agents to use the site. CEO Tim Morse said that Self’s hiring and role at the company is important.

“In addition to making real estate transactions easier and more transparent, the platform is intended to be a value-added resource for real estate professionals who want to enhance their business – not something that replaces them,” Morse said.

Among Self’s first tasks since taking on his new role was the launch of a new agent-centered landing page on created specifically for residential brokers.

On that page, real estate professionals can find information about how to effectively partner with to grow their business and support their clients, easily register to list a property, search the site for properties offering a broker co-op, and read testimonials of other fellow agents who have experienced success on the platform.

Earlier in his career, Self was director at Altisource as well as vice president at Altisource Online Auctions.

Self’s prior experience also includes leadership positions focused on business development, sales and marketing with RealtyTrac, Inc., RE/MAX of California and Hawaii,, and Real Estate Business Technologies, a for-profit subsidiary of the California Association of Realtors.
